How to Use Biomagnetism Magnets to Ground

Danielle Pilarinos

A family walking outside together in the snow.

When you hear the word grounding, you probably picture someone standing barefoot in the grass, soaking up the earth’s energy. And that’s exactly what grounding (or earthing) is all about: connecting with the natural charge of the earth to stabilize the body and mind.

But what if you live in a city, an apartment, or somewhere with endless months of snow? Not everyone has the luxury of stepping outside onto soft grass or warm sand. And most of us aren’t keen on going barefoot in a public park or on freezing pavement.

Good news: you don’t have to be outside, barefoot, or even touching the ground to ground yourself. Biomagnetism does the work for you. Every time you place magnets on your body, you’re grounding. Let me explain.

What Is Grounding and Why Does It Matter?

Grounding is all about restoring balance. The earth carries a subtle electrical charge that helps regulate our nervous system, reduce inflammation, and stabilize our energy. Think about how calm you feel after walking barefoot on the beach or grass. That’s your body syncing with the natural rhythm of the earth.

But modern life often keeps us disconnected from this energy, literally. Wearing shoes, living in concrete buildings, and constant screen time make it hard to tap into this natural stabilizing force. That’s why grounding tools, like magnets, are so important.

How Do Magnets Ground You?

Magnets provide the stabilizing energy of the earth, just like walking barefoot, but in a way that works anywhere, anytime. When you place magnets on your body, you bring in this grounded energy, helping your nervous system regulate, supporting circulation, and making you feel physically more stable. That’s why so many people feel an immediate sense of calm and balance when they use Biomagnetism. No need for grounding mats, sheets, or braving the cold—your magnets are doing the work for you.

How to Use Magnets for Grounding

Here’s the best part: any magnet placement works for grounding! The key is simply using them. So ask yourself, what do you want to focus on?

  • Detox? Use your favorite detox pair.

  • Brain health? Place magnets for mental clarity.

  • Heart health? Go with a heart-supporting pair.

No matter where you place them, they’ll help ground your body. But if you want a dedicated grounding spot, one of the best placements is Kidney 1, a powerful acupuncture point on the bottom of the foot.

How to Place Kidney 1 for Grounding

The color shown is the side of the facing the body.

This is one of my go-to grounding techniques:

  1. Grab a small or medium pair of magnets.

  2. Place the black side facing the skin on your right foot and the red side facing the skin on your left foot (Kidney 1 is located near the ball of the foot, just below the toes).

  3. Wear them for 20 minutes.

That’s it! It’s a super easy way to get that stabilizing, earth-like energy flowing through your system.

Bottom line? Every time you use magnets, you’re grounding. So don’t stress about the season, the weather, or whether you have access to nature. Just pick a pair, place your magnets, and let your body soak up the benefits.
